My name is Doug Warner. I'm a teacher in a small town. I have a passion for teaching people new things, which is why I started this site: To explain bail bonds in the state of Colorado. Why, you might ask? Because it's something I would have appreciated years ago when I first came into contact with the criminal justice system. Let me tell my story.

My Story

My little brother always got into trouble. I guess it's something younger siblings often do: Try to get the attention of their parents by acting out. I was always relatively successful in life, and my little brother Josh was always intimidated somehow. I felt bad about it, but what was I to do? I never realized just how bad the situation could get, or how much I could really help my brother. One day, I got the call from my mother - she and my dad were traveling out of the country. I knew it had to be something serious in order for her to call me internationally. "Doug? It's Josh. He's in trouble..." Her voice broke off, and it was a few moments until I could get the news out her: Josh had vandalized a park bench at his school, and was now in jail. She tasked me with the job of getting him out of jail. I had no idea where to begin. I had never come into contact with the criminal justice system before. I called the first bail bondsman I found. I wish I had done my research. The bail agent ended up wasting my time, and I was no closer to getting Josh out of jail. Eventually, I found a fantastic bail agent who was able to help me. They even gave me a recommendation of a lawyer who could help Josh. In the end, I got Josh home safely. But, I found myself wishing I knew more about the industry, and that other people wouldn't be duped like I was with the first bail agent I contacted. This is why I started the site - to inform myself, and therefore others, about bail agents. Here, you'll find tips, insight, answers to FAQ's, and other helpful content that I hope you can find useful!
